KILKENNY soccer squads have been invited to try and score a sponsorship goal.

International food brand Seara, a sponsor of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, is looking for five teams from across Ireland and the UK to win a sponsorship package for next season.

Seara’s Star Squad competition is open to soccer teams of any age and ability, from community groups and school teams to club teams and mixed girls and boys sides.

Players are invited to fill in their team’s details on the entry form at www.seara.co.uk, including in 100 words (or less) why the team deserves to win the sponsorship. Entries for the first stage of the competition close on July 1, 2013.

Two finalists will be chosen from the Republic of Ireland, England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The finalists will then be put to a public vote on Facebook in July to determine which team from each region will win a sponsorship.
The prize package includes Seara branded soccer kits, training kits, soccer balls and goalposts, plus a dry cleaning fund to help towards kit-cleaning costs.

Seara makes a range of ‘Good to Go’ chicken bites for supermarkets across Ireland and the UK in three flavours, roast chicken, tikka and Texan barbecue and a range of cooked sliced meats.
