Glenmore: Golden handshake for club from Bernard

PRESENTATION- A presentation of €1,730 was made to the Glenmore Golden club by Bernard Walsh of Ballycroney last Tuesday. Bernard ran the Dublin city marathon on the October bank holiday Monday and wishes to thank everyone who sponsored him. It was a fantastic run by Bernard and his first attempt with a time of four hours and ten minutes. The Glenmore Golden club meets every second Tuesday in Glenmore hall and there’s always something going on, it could be bingo, entertainment, and with the festive season just around the corner the pupils of Glenmore National School will join them to share some Christmas carols and festive cheer. A word of thanks to all the ladies who are volunteers and who faithfully look after all the members of the club each time the group meet, there’s always a great welcome and refreshments to enjoy.
