Tullahought is going strong

Twenty-six years into the Tidy Towns competition, the small village of Tullahought is still pulling above its weight — and looking better than ever.

The nine-member committee at the forefront of things came in for particular praise from adjudicators this year.

The inclusion of a map of the area with project locations marked for our attention and some photographs within the pages.

“We have noted the five-year plan and commend you for the many projects included there and also for the message entitled ’Striving for Success’ at the front of this year’s application,” says the report.

Tullahought improved its marks over five different categories this year, after a lot of effort and hard work.

“You have a wonderful little community and it was a pleasure for us to visit and see the great work you have done,” say the judges.

“We hope this report provides guidance for your future work.”
