Heartfelt Thanks- A sincere and heartfelt thanks is extended to the parishioners of Gortnahoe-Glengoole. Thanks to them the Golden Jubilee of Fr. John Joe O’Rourke was a huge success. It is impossible to thank everyone indiviudually suffice to say that the parish can be very proud that no stone was left unturned to ensure that anyone visiting the parish on June 4th was made feel very welcome. Fr. O’Rourke is wished every blessing and continued good health into the future and to thank him for giving all the oppertunity to come together on this special occasion and celebrate with his family and friends.

new PP-Installation of Fr. Irwin as Parish Priest of Gortnahoe-Glengoole by Most Rev. Dr. Clifford will take place in Gortnahoe Church this Saturday night Mass at 7.45p.m. Everyone is invited to the cermony and \Mass.
Family Mass for July- Will be on this Sunday July 1st in Glengoole at 10am and Gortnahoe at 11.15. Theme is “Gods Healing Hand” special petitilon leaflets are available at all church doors.
Eucharistic Adoration- Continues each week in Glengoole on Wednesday and Gortnahoe on Thursday from10am to 10pm
Glengoole Hall Sponsored Walk - Will take place this Thursday June 28th at Derryvilla Loop Walk starting at 7.45 All support will be appreciated. Glengoole Hall is a much needed facility as it is used for refreshments after funerals and also for the production of great plays.
Latin Mass- This Thursday in Glengoole Church at 7.p.m.
Good Shepherd- Cemetery Mass will be on this Friday June 29th at 7.30.p.m.

Rolling Back The Years- In aid of Alzheimers Association in the form of outdoor dancing on a platform will be held at The Sacred Heart Nurshing Home, Johnstown on this Sunday July 1st. at 2.00. All are invited to come along and enjoy a great afternoon while supporting a good cause. Music by Dermot Lyons Band from Limerick

Bereavement- The death occurred of Jim Holohlan, Grange Barna (suddenly) on Saturday June 16th 2012.at St.Patricks hospital, Cashel Jim is deeply regretted by his loving brother Tom,sisters Kitty(Laffan), Bridget(Croke) Mai (Walsh) and Anna(b Brannigan),brothers-in-law,nieces,nephews,relatives and a close circle of friends, Removal took place from Doyles Funeral Home on Tuesday to The Sacred Heart Church,Gortnahoe. Requim Mass was on Wednesday followed by burial in Boulick Cemetery. May he rest in peace.
