Pilstock 2012 takes place at Anthony’s Inn, Piltown

Templeorum – Knocktopher wedding- Thomas Kelly, son of Alice and the late Tommy Kelly, Knocktopher and Marie Maher, daughter of John and Ann Maher, Templeorum, were married recently in Knockmoylan Church. The reception was celebrated in Zuni, Kilkenny and the happy couple honeymooned in Thailand.

Fr. Peter Kehoe celebrated the ceremony and Knockmoylan Church is actually celebrating its 200 year anniversary this year. The couple had an intimate wedding with around 70 guests, the photos were taken in Knocktopher Abbey (while the guests went to Carroll’s in Knocktopher for some tea and nibbles), then up to Zuni Restaurant and Townhouse for a beautiful meal, afterwards a DJ, then a singsong. Thomas works in Dawn Pork and Bacon and Marie work’s in Abbey Community College.

The late Lena Power- Mrs. Pauline Lena Power(Nee O Brien), Turkstown, Piltown, Co. Kilkenny Died suddenly on Tuesday last the funeral was from her home to the Church Of The Assumption, Piltown on Thursday evening. The requiem mass was celebrated on Friday morning and burial took place in Portlaw Cemetery. Deepset sympathy to her family and extended family.

Pilstock 2012-Pilstock 2012 takes place at Anthony’s Inn, Piltown on June 30th. On the main stage There will be a fantastic line up including The Waxies, The DC, We the people, No Hot Ash, Caroline Boru, and 20 miles that way. On stage 2 Traditional music will be featured, whilst in the Stables bar there will be a special guest for the kids with music by The Voice. Bouncy Castles and loads of fun for the family, supporting Chernobyl Children. Doors open at 3pm €5 donation at the door.
