Durrow: Open Day at Backstage

BACKSTAGE IRELAND - Abbeyleix Backstage Academy of Performing Arts is holding an OPEN DAY for new students aged 7 – 18 on Wednesday 12th September from 6.30 – 8.30pm at the Youth Cafe, Fr Breen Park, Abbeyleix. Fitness for fun Pilates - A new six week session of Pilates commences on Tuesday September 18 from 8.30 to 9.30 in the Castle Arms Hotel. Cost is 50 euro. Places are limited so booking is essential. For more information contact Margaret on 0868547710.

Flower Club - Cullohill/Durrow flower and garden club meet on Monday September 10 at 8 pm in Cullohill Community Hall. Helen Lucas well known AOIFA Flower arranger demonstrator will be with us. New members and visitors are always welcome.

Lotto - The parish lotto with a jackpot of 2,350 euro was not won, small winners were 30 euro Eddie Hutchinson, 25 euro Helen Kelly and 20 euro Darragh Conory. The lotto jackpot of September 10 could be 2,650 and it will be held in O’Connell’s, Cullohill. All tickets must be handed in before 9.30 pm on the night of the draw to be included in that jackpot.

GAA - Well done to the Harps senior hurling team that defeated Camross in the quarter final of the senior championship on Sunday evening in O’Moore Park. The team and all it mentors are wished all the best in the semi-final and hopefully we can go all the way this year.
