RAS NA MANACH-The route for the 10km RAS NA MANACH is as follows. Starting at the boathouse the runners will proceed along the Quay on to Main St up High St and on to the Roundabout at Brandondale. From there they will travel along the bypass to the Harristown roundabout and on to Upper Main St. Turning into Fairview the route continues on to Killeen Lane, through Ballymurragh and on to Clohastia passing near the ancestral home of Republican Vice Presidential canditate Paul Ryan.Turning right on to the Wood Road the runners will traverse through Whitehall, the Barrow Lane finishing at the Boathouse. The route for the more leisurely 5km walk will begin once more at the Boathouse along the Quay, Main St. on to the Brandondale Roundabout on to Aclare and Priests Valley and back to the Harristown Roundabout down the Main St. Abbey St., Barrowlane and back to the Boathouse.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS-The town was in a festival mood on Sunday as Supervalu celebrated thirty years of trading in Graig. Proprieter Michael Doran pulled out all the stops ably assisted by his wonderful staff as a way of thanking the community for their continued support.Live music on the square with the Celtic Kats and Robert Grace ,Bouncy Castle and face painting for the kids. Roast pig on a spit, wine tasting and indoors in the supermarket celebrity chef our own Edward Hayden displaying all his talents preparing cuisine suited to the gastronomic taste of the special occasion ‘And unlike other public occasions this year the sun shone majestically which gave the special day an Andeluscian feeling.
