A fourth Danesfort man was in action in a Kilkenny jersey last weekend. Robbie Murphy captained the Black and Amber in the Intermediate All-Ireland final last Saturday, who unfortunately were defeated by Tipperary.

CAMOGIE -We are now coming to the business end of the year, with all teams in contention for honours. What has been a very busy and successful year is coming to a close and many finals will be contested in the next few weeks. Your support as always will be welcome. As you read this the junior team will hopefully have been victorious over James Stephens in the All County semi-final. An important member of that team, Rachael Hogan recently added to her families medal collection when, along with Claire Grace from Windgap, won Junior Doubles All-Ireland handball. Well done Rachael. Also from the whole parish, best of luck to Paddy, Richie Hogan and Paul Murphy who will be doing their families and all Kilkenny proud on All-Ireland day, next Sunday.  Hard luck to Robbie Walsh who was captain of the Intermediate Kilkenny team, narrowly defeated by Tipperrary in their All-Ireland final in Thurles last weekend. It was great to see a Danesfort man lead a Kilkenny team, and even though not successful, we know that in the matches to come for Danesfort, Robbie will lead again. Well done Robbie.
