The annual All-Ireland Display is now in place and on Monday, local children turned out in force for the PHOTO SHOOT, wearing their Kilkenny Jerseys and carrying flags, banners, teddy bears and other items. Passing motorists entered into the spirit of the occasion and there was much tooting of horns. Local Centra proprietor, P.J.Cullen provided some crisps for the children and this gesture is much appreciated. This year, the present economic situation in the country prompted the theme, “KILKENNY CAN SAVE ECONOMY, TAX ALL-IRELAND MEDALS” - The banner is supported by the Minister for sport, Leo Varadker, lending his voice to the suggestion and manager Cody adding his endorsement with the comment, “for sure”
