Whist - The Killermogh Parishes are holding their next monthly Whist Drive in the Parocial Hall, Cork Road, Durrow on Thursday night November 22 at 8.30 pm. All are welcome

Christmas Gala - Cullohill/Durrow Flower and Garden club are holding their Christmas Gala on Monday November 26 at 8 pm in the Castle Arms Hotel, Durrow with Sandra Finnegan AOIFE as demonstrator. Admission 10 euro which include Mulled Wine and Mince Pies. All welcome.

Lotto - The parish lotto with a jackpot of 3,850 euro was not won on November 6, small winners were 30 euro Seosamh Murphy, 25 euro H and E Jones and 20 euro Phil White. The lotto of November 19 will be held in Dec’s Bar with a possible jackpot of 4,150 euro. All tickets must be handed in before 9.30 pm on the night of the draw to be included in that jackpot.

Stars in your eyes - Some of the world’s greatest superstars will take to the stage of the Castle Arms Hotel on Saturday November 24 for the annual “Stars in your eyes” Concert. With doors opening at 8.30 pm and the show starting at 9 pm sharp ,a superb night entertainment is guaranteed. Adm is 10 euro. Please note that in line with Licensing Laws this is strictly over 18 years old.

Monies raise from this event will fund the planting of daffodils and hedging on the Cork and Kilkenny Roads into Durrow.

Durrow I . F. A. - Durrow IFA will hold their Annual General Meeting in the Presentation Centre on Tuesday November 20 at 8 pm sharp. Guest speaker on the night will be Peter Lutterell, Beef Chairman for Laois. All members are asked to attend as the annual general meeting is the most important meeting of the year.

Table Quiz - The Parents Council of St. Tighearnach Primary School are holding a Table Quiz in O’Connell’s Bar Cullohill on Friday night November 16 at 10 pm. Teams of four cost forty euro. Loads of prizes and a raffle. Please come along and support your local school.

Poker - Every Wednesday night starting at 9.30 pm is Poker Classic in Dec’s Bar . entry is ten euro and it is straight poker no buy backs. All welcome to come and have a very enjoyable night in lovely surroundings

Cullohill ICA - A meeting of Cullohill ICA was held recently in the Community center.. Votes of sympathy were extended to Kathleen Bolger on the death of her sister Peig, to Kelly family on the death of their mother Kittie, to Fennell family of the death of their father Mick. Ar ndeis de go raibh siad. Five members will attend the federation meeting in Ballylinan on November 25 at 2 pm. Mass for the deceased members of the guild was celebrated on Sunday. Flower arranging and Bridge classes are on going in the Community Center. Mary Kavanagh won raffle and the next meeting will be on Tuesday December 4.
