Hurling - Cloneen Hurling Club hold ‘Last Man Standing’ commencing weekend 24/25 November. €10 entry free and pick a team to win from the Premier League. SEWERAGE UPGRADE - Considerable progress has been taking place regarding the proposed upgrade of the local sewerage scheme according to correspondence received by Councillor John Brennan.Among the

information forthcoming is that the estimated cost is €3.5 million with €150,000 approved forthe planning stage. Tenders have been received from consulting engineers and these are being assessed. The appointed consultant will prepare a report for the county council to include a review of the existing facilities and plant, also to procure and project manage all investigative work, to assess the assimilative capacity of the receiving waters, to assess the biological impacts on the receiving waters course, assess the current and future discharges and required effluent quality, assess the technology options and prepare estimates of cost.

SUNDAY BINGO - Clogh Community Council declared that their first time venture into Sunday Bingo was a great success with large numbers attending and sharing in the almost €1,000 prize money on offer.
