Documentary on River Barrow

NEXT Monday night (January 28) at 7.30pm a documentary on the river Barrow will be aired on RTE 1. The film, in Irish and with subtitltes, highlights this amazing river which travels from Laois and alondgthe Kilkenny/Carlow border joining with the Nore at New Ross. It features towns like Graignamangh, Goresbridge, Borris, Bagenalstown and Carlow.

One of Ireland’s most picturesque rivers, the almost 200km journey begins in Glenbarrow Waterfall and among those featured in the documentary is Philip Cushen of Cushendale Woollen Mills.
