The next meeting re the History of Dunamaggin will take place in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny on Monday 17th June at 8.00 p.m.. Anyone who has any information concerning the various rivers and streams which run through the parish and activities which were carried on on these rivers is invited to the meeting or to give the information to any member of the committee. In addition the committee would welcome information on the various historical names of fields in the parish.


The annual variety concert in aid of St. Eoghan’s School, Kilmoganny will take place in Dunphy’s Lounge, Kilmoganny on Saturday 15th June at 9.30 p.m.. It is expected that the concert will feature many talented artists from the locality who will provide a very worthwhile evening’s entertainment. Tickets are on sale at the usual local outlets.

KELLS SCOUTS will hold their registration evening for 2013 – 2014 on this Wednesday June 12th at 8.00 p.m. sharp in the Scouts Den, Kells. All Youth Members, new and existing, who intend to participate in the group in 2013 – 2014 must register. It is mandatory that at least one parent/guardian attends the registration. If the parent/guardian does not attend there is no guarantee that a place will be available for the child.

ST. LEONARD’S SCHOOL FAMILY DAY will take place on next Sunday 16th June at 2.30p.m. It will include Grand Balloon Race release, School Hurling League Finals, Presentation of Leinster Soccer Medals, Barbecue, Ice cream/Popcorn/Slushes, Tea, Coffee, cakes, games etc. Balloons for the race may be purchased on the day or from the school. The Balloon which travels the furthest and is returned by 1st September will be the winner. It costs €3 per balloon or two for €5. All are welcome to the day
