The finals of our Parish League for children aged seven to twelve were played at the family fun day and all three finals turned out to be crackers. Templeorum scored a last minute goal to beat Fiddown in the cup final on a score of 9-06 to 9-05. In the shield final it took extra time to separate the Highroad and Whitechurch teams and again a single point separated the teams with the Highroad winning on a score of 7-05 to 6-07. In the plate final a late rally in the last three minutes by Piltown saw them score two goals to run out winners on a scoreline of 10-06 to Owning’s 8-10. The club would like to thank all who helped to make the league a success especially our junior players, Pa Connolly, Neil Kelly, James Connolly, Thomas Talbot, James Norris, Martin Power, Tom Kenny, Shane Kinsella, David Burchill, Shane Ahern, Kevin Walsh, Robbie Culleton and Donal Ryan who managed the teams.
