Music, fun and a run in the Castle Park

The summer season of Comhaltas Shows of Irish music, song and dance returns to The Parade Tower at 8.30pm on Wednesdays starting on June 29. For further information or group bookings, contact Noreen at Comhaltas Craobh Osraí on 086 8249618.

July 2 will then bring ‘La Sugradh’ to Kilkenny Castle Park from 2-5pm. This free event for families will include arts and crafts, storytelling, animal magic, butterfly and bug hunting, African drumming, magic shows and more.

TriGrandPrix Ireland, the Kilkenny Triathlon, will be in Kilkenny Castle Park on July 23.

The event will begin on the day with swimming in the River Nore, then to Castle Park to collect bicycles at the transition area for the cycle in the countryside, returning then to the Castle Park to complete the running section of the event and culminating with the grand finish through the Arch and onto The Parade Plaza. Distances include Olympic Distance, Sprint Distance, Super Sprint Distance; further information and registration are on www.TriGrandPrix.com.
