This year, 12 students from St Kieran’s College will be travelling to Lourdes.

Ten of the students travelling are from Transition Year and will accompany the diocesan pilgrimage for five days from May 22 to May 27. These ten students will help with the transport of the assisted pilgrims to and from the various ceremonies throughout the trip.

Two other students travelling to Lourdes this year are in fifth year and will accompany the IHCPT trip from the area with the care of their assisted pilgrims. This trip will take place on the second week of the Easter holidays.

A lot of credit must go to the students for volunteering their free time, for fundraising and participating in these trips. A big thank you to local businesses Caulfields SuperValu, Loughboy; Langtons of John Street; and The Village Inn, Patrick Street. Their help and sponsorship is invaluable for our fundraising. Finally a big thanks to all who gave generously to our recent table quiz and bag pack in SuperValu.

We hope and pray for all travelling on these pilgrimages that they may have a safe and fulfilling experience.
