CAMOGIE GIRLS - Well done to the R/I Intermediate Camogie team who won the County Final last Sunday week.They defeated Tullaroan 3-10 to 0-8. The Camogie club would like to congratulate the panel of 29 players, led by captain Lizzie Lyng and the Management Team of Michale Doyle, John Galavan, Mark Moore and Physio John Doody on the hard earned success. Many thanks also to the following, Avril Lenehan, Inistioge and Murphys Pub, the Rower for Hosting the celebrations. Michael Lyng and Andrew Cullen for sponsoring a meal in Langtons, to John Gannon for catching the memorable game on video. Finally Go Raibh Mile- to all who supported the girls on the day and during the year. The R/I Team will now represent Kilkenny in Camross in the Leinster Intermediate Championship semi final on Sunday 21st October against Camross, Co Laois. (Time TBC).
SOCIAL DANCE LESSONS-Lessons will start again on Thursday 18th October from 8pm to 10pm in The Rower Community Hall. Dances to learn include waltz, quickstep, jive and many more. LINE DANCING-Real beginner line dancing every Tuesday night in the parish hall, Albatross, Rossbercon, New Ross from 7.30 pm to 8.30pm. All other dancers 9pm to 11pm on Tuesdays and also on Thursdays. This is a great way of exercising and losing weight while enjoying yourself. It keeps your brain active and your boby in shape. CANDLE OF HOPE-On Friday 2nd November 2012, ten thousand Hope Candles will be lit at 7pm across County Wexford and beyond. In recognition of this event, there will be an Ecumenical Service in St. Aidan’s Cathedral, Enniscorthy at 7pm. All those who have been touched by cancer are invited to this special ceremony of Light and Hope. Even if you are unable to go, you can, along with many others still partake by lighting your own candle at 7pm and tune into south east radio where it will be live on air. Candles €3 are available from Hope Centre, Hope Charity Shop and other outlets throughout Wexford, Town and County, and at the Cathedral on the night of the service. MASS FOR DECEASED PATIENTS OF ST. LUKES HOSPITAL-This special mass in memory of patients of St. Lukes Hospital, Kilkenny who died in the past year will be celebrated on Wednesday, 17th October at 7.30pm in St. Canices church, Kilkenny. All are welcome. May they Rest In Peace.
