Junior B-The Blacks and Whites Junior B team enjoyed a good win over neighbours Barrow Rangers on Saturday last as they emerged on the right side of a one point victory in Tom Walsh Park. The game ebbed and flowed in both teams favours as blacks and whites came from 0-04 to 0-02 down to lead 0-08 to 0-04 approaching half time. A long Barrow Rangers free saw Dermot Maher get on the end of it to finish to the net leaving the minimum between the sides at half time.

The second half saw Skeough take the game to the visitors and long range frees from Pat Hayden put some light between the teams. This was followed by Emmet Foley (frees), John Lawlor and Tommy Farrell all getting on the scoreboard. However the Paulstown lads weren’t going away and were just two behind approaching the finishing stages after some good forward play. Barrow rangers then struck for a goal with time just up and looked to have snatched the game. However credit to Blacks and Whites they stuck to the task and two late pointed frees from Emmet Foley saw them emerge on top by the skin of their teeth. Skeough were well served in defence by Pat Hayden and Barry Moloney. John Lawlor put in a great display in the middle of the park while up front Tommy Farrell and Michael Doyle looked most dangerous. Team: J Murphy, B Cleere, K Fitzpatrick, A Barcoe, P Hayden, J Brennan, B Moloney, J Lawlor, J Murphy, M Doyle, S Murphy, M Moloney, T Farrell, D O Dowd, E Foley. Subs: B Barcoe, J Byrne
