FOOTBALL - The minor and under-14 footballers were both in action last weekend and they both recorded good victories. The minors bounced back from defeat last time out when they defeated Graigue-Ballycallan in a high scoring game on Sunday morning last in Kilmanagh. Having been left to rue missed chances in their previous game, the locals were far more effective in front of goal on this occasion. This contributed to Conahy scoring some well-worked scores, though the home side also showed that they could be equally sharp in attack. But Conahy would not be denied, and they won through on a 4-8 to 3-7 score line. They are back in action next weekend when they face Kilmacow in Jenkinstown on Sunday at 2 p.m.

The under-14 footballers travelled to Slieverue also on Sunday morning to face the home side. Conahy continued their good form by producing a solid performance with some good teamwork throughout the field. In the end, the locals were deserving winners by 2-6 to 0-3. Conahy will now face Dicksboro on Sunday morning next in Jenkinstown at 11.00 a.m.
