Rower: Well done to the camogie under 16s and their mentors

Minor and Intermediate Camogie--Well played ,yet Hard luck to the Rower-Inistioge Minor camogie team who were defeated by St Martins in the County semi final on a score line of 2-5 to 0-8. The girls gave it their all but the lucky breaks did not come. The club would like to express a word of Thanks to the Minor trainers David Dunphy and Betty Gannon for their committment to the team this year.The management would like to thank Seamus Kelly and John Galavan who offered their added support to the team on saturday and to the ladies who helped out behind the scenes. The intermediates are playing Ballyhale in the Co semi Final on Sunday 23rd September at 4.30,Venue to be decided.

WALKING CLUB-Are you interested in joining a walking club? We are surrounded by some of the most beautiful landscape in Ireland. It’s time to get out there and walk. ICA-The local group of I.C.A. resumed on Tuesday 4th Sept after a two month break. Officers elected for the coming year are President-Ann Croke, Vice President-Margaret Hennessy, Secretary-Kay Roche, Treasurer-Gertie Ross, P.R.O.-Kathleen Treacy. The Guild are represented on the Co. Federation by Kay Roche who is Produce Promoter. Whist Drives will resume in Cois Abhann, starting on Thursday 4th Oct at 8.30 p.m. and will continue on the first and third thursday nights of each month up to end of March. Kilkenny Federation weekend will take place at An Grianan from 9th - 11th Nov. Courses are as follows: Christmas Tree decorations (Fabric), Christmas Wall Hangings, Christmas cards, Jewellery Making, Mountmellick Embroidery & Stitched Woolwork. CAMOGIE NEWS-Very well done to the under 16s and their mentors Betty Gannon and David Dunphy, who won the Roinn C Shield final recently, defeating Ballyhale with a score of 3-17 to1-1.
