HOST FAMILIES REQUIRED - S.O.S. is a Voluntary Organisation in Kilkenny for adults with a mild-moderate intellectual disability, providing day services, respite and residential care. We are looking for families or individuals (hosts) to provide short breaks (day/overnight/weekend) in their home for adults from our services. Each host is matched with one person from S.O.S. and an expense allowance is paid for each break provided. We are also looking for volunteers to support us in providing extra social and recreational activities for people attending S.O.S. in the evening time or weekends. GAA - The Under 21’s were in action in Cannon Kearns Park in Castlecomer on Sunday in icy wet conditions each player was in top form and despite the loss of John Mooney through injury the team shone and at half time were well in the lead on a score line of St. Patrick’s 2-7 James Stephens 1-1. First half goals from Kevin Kelly (penalty) and Conor Foley (from play). The second half was a good game with both teams fighting the weather elements. However Ballyragget were the top team finishing on a score line 2 -10 to 1- 06. They next meet neighbours Lisdowney next weekend.

TEAM NEWS - Brookville went down by the odd goal in seven at home last weekend. This was a great game of football to watch as it had lots of goals and excitement.
