Parents Association - The Ballyhale Parents Association will be holding a Christmas Craft Fair in the Parochial Hall on Saturday, 8 December from 2 to 5pm. The fair is an opportunity for local producers to showcase their talents and goods and take orders for Christmas.

Tables will include handmade jewellery, clips and brooches. Knitwear. Handmade cards and keepsakes, Christmas wreaths and table arrangements, Christmas tree decorations, dolls and advent calendars, all lovingly made by hand. Educational toys, a cake sale, book stall, sweet stall and lots more.

Why not enjoy tea and some refreshments while your children play in the kiddie’s corner or have your nails done for your night out.

There will be two raffles on the day with prizes ranging from a weekend away hotel break, a salon voucher, makeover, hampers and much more. Tickets will be on sale during the month of November, 2 euro for one and 5 euro for 3. For all the Shamrock fans out there the second raffle will be more of interest to you. We have a child Ballyhale Shamrocks jersey signed by all the 2012 County Final Winners up for grabs. These tickets can only be purchased on the day so don’t miss out. This could be the perfect Christmas present for a devoted little Shamrocks fan.

Christmas - The Ballyhale Development Association will be officially starting Christmas with the turning on of the Christmas lights on the night and we will be supporting this by providing tea and refreshments afterwards.

We are appealing for your support through your donations of homemade cakes and buns, new or unused gift items, bottles and toys.

All the proceeds of the Christmas Fair go directly towards the local national school and your support and generosity would be greatly appreciated.

If you would be interested in taking a table, have anything to donate or want to buy some tickets, then you can contact Catherine O’Mahoney 0876791894, Irene Lennon 0879504634.

BDA - The Ballyhale Development Association turning on of Christmas Tree lights will be held on Saturday 8 Dec after 7.30 pm Mass. The Children’s choir will be present for carol singing. All are very welcome to attend.

Shamrocks - The Ballyhale Shamrocks match v Oulart the Ballagh has been refixed for this Saturday in Wexford Park at 2pm. It was called off close to throw-in last weekend due to a waterlogged pitch. Because supporters were already in the ground when the match was called off admission to the re-fixture will be free.

Another successful Shamrocks team in 2012 were the Under 14’s. We would like to belatedly congratulate the players on winning Roinn B Under 14 championship. Their management team of Paul O’Donoghue, Brendan Mason and Sean Holden would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents for
their support throughout the year.

Along the way the team beat Erin’s Own, Slieverue, Graigue-Ballycallan and then beat Barrow Rangers in the Final. Quite impressively they scored no less than 2 goals in every game. Overall they scored 10-51 in four Championship games and only conceded 4-33. It would appear that the future Henry Shefflin’s, Cha Fitzpatrick’s, Michael & Colin Fennelly’s, Eoin & TJ Reid’s are already here!
