Hard luck to the minor hurlers who lost out to Rower Inistioge on Saturday in the quarter final of the Minor Roinn A Championship. This was a great display from a young team who are all eligible again next year. The Rower opened with 4 points before John Walton’s point for Tullaroan. Shane Walsh pointed from a free to leave the sides 0-4 to 0-2. Bill Cuddihy made a great run before passing the ball off to Shane Walsh who duly sent the ball crashing to the net. Rower tacked on further scores before Jack Keoghan and Bill Cuddihy scored points for Tullaroan to leave the sides level at half time 1-5 to 0-08. Rower started off the better in the second half to go 4 points clear. Tullaroan kept within sight of them with scores from Shane Walsh and John Dooley and great saves from Dylan Simpson. With ten minutes to go the Rower with 3 county minors pushed on for victory. Final score Rower Inistioge 0-20 Tullaroan 1-9.
