Officiating at the nuptial mass were Fr Pat Fitzgerald, Waterford cousin of Danika’s and Fr Patsy Guilfoyle, PP Tullaroan; best man Ken Coogan, groomsmen David Cleere, Michael Walsh and Niall Egan. Bridesmaids Aileen Kelly, Sinead Mangan, Linda Sweeney and Deirdra Molloy. Page boy Daithi Egan, flower girls Lily Jane Sweeney, Ellie Holland, Muireann Bibby and Sophie Mai Morrissey.

The music was by Paddy Cleere, Gerry Cleere, Liam Moore, Anthony McCauley, and piper Martin Laville. Singers Linda Sweeney, Lorraine Maher and Mary Moore.

As the bride and groom came outside the Church a guard of honour was formed by the Tullaroan hurling and camogie club. The wedding reception was held in the Langton House Hotel, John Street, Kilkenny.

Ned is son of Bobby and Bridget Sweeney and Danika is daughter of Geraldine and the late Tommy Harrison. The happy couple are honeymooning in Las Vegas and Mexico. They are wished many happy years together.

Best Wishes - Best wishes to Mrs Maura Hogan, Gaulstown who is in recuperating in the physio department of Thomastown hospital.

Spin and Win - Barry Teehan was the lucky winner of €70 in Connolly’s spin and win on Saturday last. There are now three €1000’s on the wheel. Come along this Saturday and try you luck.

Whist Drive - A whist drive in aid of the Day Care Centre, Prague House, Freshford will be held in the Tullaroan community centre on Friday, April 19, commencing at 8.45pm and all are welcome.

Camogie Club - The intermediate camogie team will line in the all county league against Ballyhale Shamrocks on Saturday, April 20 at 6.30pm in the Tullaroan sports grounds.

Workshop - The Sisters of St John of God are sponsoring a workshop in the Parish Centre, Loughboy, Kilkenny on Saturday, May 4. For further information please contact Pam or Catherina on 056 7722870.

Holidays - Fr Michael Keoghan has returned to Hexam and Newcastle after spending a holiday with his brother Jack and sister Lily in Tullaroan.

Concert - To mark the opening of the ‘Faith Fest 2013 celebrating Faith in Ossory’ there is a concert in St Mary’s Cathedral, Kilkenny with Liam Lawton on Friday, May 10 commencing at 8pm.

Darts - The Roinn A final of the darts tournament between Joe Brennan’s, Kilmanagh and The Vally Inn, Woodsgift will be held in Connolly’s Lounge on Friday, April 19.

Hurling - Tullaroan junior hurlers went under to Galmoy in the junior league. The U-16 hurlers defeated Graige-Ballycallan by 1-18 to 3-4 in the second round of the league. Sympathy - The death took place last week of Mrs Kathleen Fitzgerald, Ballyingarry formerly Kathleen Gleeson, Rathmacan, Tullaroan. Sympathy to the Harrison, Lacey, Kelly and Dargen families and to her grandchild Danika Sweeney.
