Social Night - Blacks and Whites GAA club will host a social night & medal presentation in Tom Walsh Park Clubhouse on Saturday, April 20 from 9.30pm. A great night is guaranteed with music and food provided. Courtesy transport home for those planning an extra good night is also available. Medals on the night will be given out to the victorious Intermediate Footballers that won the Intermediate Football league in 2012. Tickets are €10 and can be purchased form committee members. All welcome!

Adult Hurling - A mixed weekend of fortune and weather saw Blacks and Whites squander a seven point half time advantage in the Junior B league against Bennetsbridge last Saturday. Three first half gaols after playing wind assisted was not enough as the home side outscored skeough by 0-08 to 0-01 in the second half to earn a draw. The Junior Hurlers were defeated last Sunday by Piltown in the second round of the league in Piltown on a scoreline of 2-10 to 0-11. Next up for the lads is a home tie against Mooncoin next Saturday at 7pm.

ST FIACRES CROWNED CHAMPIONS - U-14 Football League Roinn C Shield: on Monday, April 8 in terrible conditions the U-14 team were crowned Roinn C Champions in a hard fought match against Bennettsbridge. Two late goals ensured victory for the St Fiacre’s team. Final score was St Fiacres 4-0 Bennettsbridge 3-2.

U-14 Hurling Training takes place each Monday at 7pm in Graignamanagh pitch and each Thursday at 7pm in Tom Walsh Park.

Other positive results of note for St Fiacres were as follows. Monday, April 8 Minor Roinn B Hurling League round 3 St Fiacre’s 2-11 Barrow Rangers 1-10. Friday, April 12 U-16 Roinn B Hurling League Round 2 St Fiacre’s 3-11 Lisdowney 0-4.

SCHOOLS HURLING - The schools hurling team travelled to Mullinavat last Wednesday to play their 2nd match in the Allianz/Cumman na mBunscol Roinn C Educational Supplies Hurling League. Graig/Skeough School team came out winners with a scoreline of 0-6 to 0-1. Next up for this team is Slieverue NS. This game is on today (Wednesday) at 3.30pm in Graignamanagh pitch.

SKEOUGHVOSTEEN COMMUNITY GAMES - Athletics Training continues each Tuesday and Friday in Tom Walsh Park from 6-7pm.

SCHOOL NEWS - Congratulations to the Second Class in Skeoughvosteen National school who received the Sacrament of Confession last Thursday Night in Skeoughvosteeen Church. Communion takes place in Skeough on Sunday, May 5.
