DANCE SUCCESS - Congratulations and well done to the girls from the Furness School of Dance and their teacher Vicki, who had great success in the WIDA European and World Championships in Dusseldorf, Germany. Eight girls from the school travelled to Germany.

Local Inistioge girl Amy Malone came 2nd in her U-8 European Championships and Sarah Malone also from Inistioge came 5th in her European Championships and 12th in her World Championships. Well done to them both.

Kilkenny Community & Voluntary Forum - The South East Regional Drugs task Force (SERDTF), Kilkenny Community & Voluntary Forum and Kilkenny Leader Partnership are jointly organising a community consulation seminar on the subject of substance misuse. The seminar is on Friday, April 19 in the Pembrooke Hotel, 11 Patrick Street, Kilkenny from 9.30am to 1.30pm. Places can be booked at 051 841144.

CAMOGIE NEWS - Well done to the under 16 team who won the first round of the league against Mooncoin. The final score was 7-7 to 0-0, and congratulations to the senior team who won round one of the all county league against Mullinavat with a final score of 0-11 to 0-2.

If anyone has used camogie gear in good condition that they would like to sell second hand please bring to underage camogie training on Wednesday, April 17 & 24 at 6.30pm in the Rower. Anyone interested in any of the gear there may agree a price and purchase from the seller directly. Primary school player membership and insurance (€20) can be paid at training Wednesday, April 17 at 6.30 in the Rower.

ANNUAL SPRING CLEAN - Takes place in Inistioge on Saturday April 20. Please meet at The Square at 11am for just a couple of hours of litter & rubbish clean up. Everyone is asked to be involved. In this, the year of The Gathering, it is more important than ever to have our beautiful countryside clean and litter free. Bags and gloves etc will be available.
