Sympathy

We extend our sincere sympathy to Nicholas and Paul Ryan , Urlingford Road on the unexpected death of Lil last Tuesday. Lil died at St. Luke’s Hospital after surgery on Monday. Her passing came as a great source of sadness and shock to her family and to the whole community. Daughter of the late Michael and Molly Ryan, Foulkscourt Lil lived all her life in Johnstown where she was well known and popular. She had a great personality, very friendly and always kind and helpful. She loved music and old time dancing and was one of the organisers of the monthly socials in St Kieran’s Hall. To her husband Nicholas, son Paul, brothers Paddy, John and Timmy, sisters Bridget, Margaret and Maura, nieces nephews cousins and her many friends we offer our condolences. She was laid to rest in Johnstown Cemetery after Requiem Mass on Friday last. A guard of honour from various social clubs in the parish and her neighbours escorted the cortege to the church and to the cemetery. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
