ST. ANNE’S CAMOGIE CLUB-St. Anne’s Camogie Club would like to thank everybody who helped with our fundraiser of bag packing in Dunnes Stores Rathdowney over the June Bank Holiday weekend. Many thanks to parents, players and everyone who supported us. Well done to Helen Glendon who organised it.

- Under 12 Camogie Blitz - St. Anne’s Camogie club hosted the U-12yrs Camogie Blitz in Johnstown GAA field on Saturday June 9. A great team performance was put in by all the girls on all the teams. Teams from Clara, Muckalee and Dicksboro took part. The Johnstown venue was in terrific shape for the occasion, thanks to Milo Quinlan for the fine job that he did preparing the games. A great morning of Camogie was had by all and a special thank you to all the parents and players who donated sandwiches, buns and cakes and helped in any way. ACTIVE RETIREMENT-The trip arranged for Thursday June 21 will leave Johnstown at 9.15am. The bus fare is €10. Lunch at Rathwood €16.50, entry to chocolate garden €11 which includes a walk, visual presentation, chocolate tasting and making of an individual chocolate memento of the day. CM COMMUNITY TENNIS-Community tennis registration has begun in Colaiste Mhuire. Membership costs: Adult €40, Family €60, Student €10.

CONCERT-Margaret Maher school of music will present a variety concert featuring young musicians in St Kieran’s Community Hall Johstown on Thursday night June 14 starting at 8pm. All proceeds in aid of charity. Admission: adults €10, children €5.
