EXAM RESULTS- On the recent results of the leaving cert exams best wishes to all on their achievements and success for those furthering their education. All the young people who have completed their secondary level education now enter a new phase in the lives as they pursue their ambitions and personal development.
St. MOLING’s MASS - The annual outdoor mass at the well of St. Molings in Mullinakill takes place on Sunday at 2pm. This time honoured tradition is very much supported each year and takes place on the last Sunday in August, which is this Sunday, with people coming from all the neighbouring parishes and hinderlands.
TEA PARTY - The Glenmore GAA juvenile GAA club held an American Tea Party last Friday evening in Glenmore hall with 158 persons in attendance. Many thanks is given to the hostesses for their co-operation and assistance in bringing the event together and also the organising committee for their time and effort. The Chairman of the Glenmore GAA juvenile committee, Ray Byrne welcomed everyone and thanked everyone for their support, he also thanked Trudy Power catering for the lovely food, thanks was also given to the sponsors of the raffle prizes for their generiosty. Following the meal the music for the night was a disco which was greatly enjoyed and the committee tank everyone who supported this fundraiser.

The bus fare is €25 per person, and the cost of meals is extra. GAA- Congratulations to Ger Aylward of Haggard and Mark Phelan of Ballyveria and John Cody of Weatherstown who are team members of the Kilkenny Intermediate hurling team who have secured their place in the All-Ireland final following their recent All-Ireland semi final win over Galway in a thrilling match played in Portlaoise last Saturday. On the Kilkenny senior hurling panel is Eoin Murphy of Ballyveria who along with his team mates have qualified for the Senior All-Ireland hurling final set to be played in Croke Park on 9th September when they meet Galway. The search for tickets is already underway following the win over Tipperary in the Al-Ireland semi final last Sunday. Best of luck to all involved in both upcoming finals.
