Conahy: Conahy ladies football annual barbecue on Saturday

HURLING-The minor hurlers held out for a single point victory over Piltown in the opening round of the Roinn B championship in Hugginstown on Tuesday night last. Conahy were on top in the first half thanks to a well-taken goal from Nicholas Feehan. The same player got another goal in the second half also to aid the Conahy cause. However, Piltown fought back and could easily have taken the game out of Conahy’s hands had they not missed some good chances. As it was, the locals just about held on, winning in the end by 2-18 to 2-17.
