Sponsored Hunt Canter - A sponsored Hunt Canter will take place this coming Sunday 4th Novemeber at Coppenagh, Graignamanagh, Co. Kilkenny. The canter is being organised by Blacks and Whites GAA club in association with the Nore Vale Harriers Hunt. All levels of horses and riders will be catered for on the day with a large range of natural and man made jumps throughout the course which takes in woodland and stubbles. Starting time is from 10am at Coppenagh with Adults €25 and U16 just €15. All monies raised on the day will go towards the juvenile section of the Blacks and Whites GAA club. So come along and enjoy a great day out and support the local club. Complimentary Hot Toddys will be given out on the day also to keep participants warm en route.

Cabaret - A fundraising cabaret will be held in the clubhouse in Tom Walsh Park next Saturday 3rd Novemeber at 9pm. The cabaret is in aid of St Lukes Hospital and baby Dylan Gardiner. Music on the night will be provided by the Skeough Ramblers and Admission is just €5.

Chess Lessons - Darko Polimac continues to give 10 chess lessons in Tom Walsh Park. The lessons started on Wednesday 19th of September and run between 7.00pm and 8.00pm. Numbers are limited so phone or text Fiona Dowling to book your child’s place. 

NUI Maynooth - The Kilkenny Campus of NUI Maynooth, College Rd, Kilkenny (adjoining St. Kieran’s College) would like to invite all students interested in taking the first year of their BA Degree in Kilkenny City to join us at our Open Day on Saturday, 10th November 2012 at 12pm.  Students choosing to take this exciting new option will benefit by taking the 1st year of their BA degree close to home in a friendly, learner centred environment - before moving to the main NUI Maynooth Campus for 2nd and 3rd year. Those living locally will also have the advantage of making significant savings on travel and accommodation costs.
