TOMMY ON IRISH TEAM - Tommy Walsh, Mountgale was on the Irish team who claimed the Hurling/Shinty International Series for a fourth consecutive year with a comfortable second Test win over Scotland at Cusack Park, Ennis on Saturday.
Bereavement Support Group - A meeting of people bereaved by suicide will be held in Villa Maria, Talbot’s Inch, Kilkenny on Thursday 1st November commencing at 8pm. The theme of the meeting is ‘ a time to meet others bereaved by suicide.

Benefit Night - A feast of Irish Traditional Music and Concert with local aratists will be held in Langton’s, John Street, Kilkenny on Wednesday 7th November. Irish Pilgrimage Trust - The Irish Pilgrimage Trust is organising a used clothing collection to raise funds to send children to Lourdes. Any clean and dry clothes are acceptable and are to be left into St. Patrick’s Centre, Loughboy from 11am to 1pm on Saturday 10th November. This is an ideal opportunity to empty your wardrobe and also held children with special needs to travel to Lourdes.
Hurling - The Tullaroan minor hurling team qualified for the League Final when they overcame Gowran in sunny but cold Palmerstown on Saturday afternoon last. Tullaroan were always in control where they had a good lead at half time, with the wind in their backs in the second half Tullaroan when out convincing winners. Team: Michael Maher (Capt), Paul Sweeney, William Dooley, Tommy Walsh, Bob Cuddihy, Shane Culldhy, Diarmuid Doheny, Jack Keoghan, Jason O’Riordan, Jack Holmes, Edward Teehan, Bill Cuddihy, John Walton, David Sweeney, Shane Walsh. Subs used Sean Cuddihy, Jim Moore, Kieran Lanigan. The U16 hurling team will play in the League Final this weekend.

The McCarthy Cup in Scoil RuadháiN - Local man Tommy Walsh along with J.J. Delaney and Aidan Fogarty who between them have twenty three All Ireland Medals where welcomed by the School Principal Ms. Breda Holmes when they arrived with the McCarhty Cup last week. The Chairman of Tullaroan hurling club Dick Walshe spoke where he thanked the Principal for inviting the club into the school for the occasion and also thanked the players for their effort in bringing another All Ireland to Kilkenny. Former All Ireland hurler Liam Keoghan along with Chairman of Bord Na Nóg Simon Walton and Fr. MIchael Keoghan also spoke. Fr. Michael was home from Newcastle where he was spending a short holiday with his brother Jack and sister Lily in Tullaroan. A great morning was had by all where all the children got their Photo’s taken with the the McCarhty Cup.
