TEAM PICKED - New O’Loughlin Gaels Hurling and Football officially announced his new management teams for the forthcoming season.

Brian and his committee has responsibility for picking the team managers and selectors for the Senior, Junior, Junior B and Under 21 teams in the club. At Senior level former Offaly All Ireland medal winner Aiden Fogarty has been appointed team manager. Aidan has been involved in many championship winning sides both with O’Loughlin Gaels and a host of other clubs including his home club St. Rynaghs and Ballyfin of Laois. Aidan was, of course, involved with O’Loughlin Gaels when they won their very first Kilkenny Senior Championship back in 2001. The selectors for the senior team this year will be Barry Power, Colin Furlong and Dinny Tyrrell. Both Barry and Colin Furlong have served as selectors before and are well known to ‘Gaels supporters. Dinny has been involved in numerous underage successes in the St. John’s Parish Club and is a very popular appointment within the club body. All in O’Loughlin Gaels and St. John’s Parish wish the new management team the very best in their endeavours to secure a fourth Kilkenny Senior Championship for the Club. At Junior level Mr. Murphy has appointed former Club star Joe Daly as manager. His selectors are another former great Davy Ronan as well as Gerry Tyrrell, Philly Holohan and Michael Kinchella. The, seemingly always successful, Junior B squad will this year be managed by Davy Ward with Keith Kinchella, Michael Lambert snr. and James O Keeffe as selectors. As with the Senior set up, the club and Parish are hopeful both these management teams can lead their charges to Championship victories also.
