GATHABAWN CAKE SALE - Creenkill National School Parents’ Council will hold their annual Easter Cake Sale after 11 am Mass in Gathabawn on Easter Sunday, 31st March 2013.
EASTER SUNDAY WALK - Take a stroll on the MacGiollaphadraig Way (Durrow to Gathabawn) on Easter Sunday, starting at the Church Car Park, Durrow, at 12.30 pm with registration from 12 noon. A bus will be available before and after the walk from Gathabawn to Durrow. Refreshments will be available afterwards in Mackeys’ Bar. CREENKILL NATIONAL SCHOOL FUNDRAISER - Creenkill National School Gathabawn are having a 70s/80s disco in Mackey’s, Gathabawn, on Saturday 6th April 2013. DJ on the night is the one and only Treacy Edwards. Admission €5. Doors open at 9.30 pm. All welcome.
STATIONS - The Pilgrims Stations of the Cross, as walked on Camino, will take place in Jenkinstown Wood on Palm Sunday March 24th beginning at 2.30pm from Jenkinstown Church.

UNDERAGE HURLING - Hurling has resumed for boys and girls from Under 6 up to Under 12 in Lisdowney GAA Club and will continue every Saturday morning from 10 am to 11 am. All are welcome. Children must wear helmets and shin guards.
SCHOOLS HURLING - The Lisdowney Schools Hurling Team began their season last Wednesday. They were defeated by a much stronger team from Gowran. Training continues after school on Wednesdays
HURLING CAMP - St Lachtains hurling club will hold their Easter hurling camp for boys and girls aged 7 to 13 years. The camp will be held on Tuesday 2nd April to Friday 5th of April. Camp will start each morning from 10am to 2pm in Parc Lachtain Freshford. The cost of the camp is €30 per child for the first two children and €20 for the third child onwards. LOVE CAKES - Please bake a Love Cake for the Home Care Team. This involves baking a cake, bringing it into Oldtown Hill Shop on high Street where it will be judged. You can then take your cake and eat it. €5.00 should be paid towards the Home Care Team. The prize for the winning cake will be to have your house cleaned, top to bottomby McCreery Contract Cleanersand your own Personal Butler for the day.
