Clara - Great start to season for Camogie girls

Camogie - Clara Intermediate Camogie team started their season well with a win over Camross of Laois in the first round of the Leinster League Championship on Sunday. On a bitterly cold wet day in Clara, after building a good lead at half time, the team fought hard against a very strong wind to come out on top with a score line of Clara 1.15 Camross 2.04 Captain for the day was Ciara Byrne in light of her great win the day before for the Loreto, in the Schools Camogie All Ireland Final. The panel were Marilyn Nolan, Tamsin English, Roisín Byrne, Aisling McDonald, Niamh Byrne, Claire McDonald, Claire Nolan, Marie Murphy, Aisling Curtis, Mary O’Connell, Grainne Byrne, Aisling Nolan, Ciara Byrne, [capt]Elaine Nolan, Aylson Creane, Dianamh Phelan, Bríd Murphy. The Ladies are playing against St Ibars in Wexford this Sunday in the next round.

Underage Training - Training will resume for underage teams (U12 to U6) for both Hurling and Camogie Monday the 1st of April. New players are always welcome at any age level as registration can be done by Pam Cummins on the Night, she will also be taking Jersey sizes for all players.

Upcoming training courses: Next Saturday the 23rd of March there is a ABC (Agility, Balance, Coordination) Course taking place in the GAA Grounds. Anybody interested in this course please contact Eamonn (087 6383022) for more details.
