O’LOUGHLIN GAELS GOLF CLASSIC

The ever popular O’Loughlin Gaels Golf Classic will take place in Kilkenny Golf Club on Thursday and Friday 29th and 30th of August. Michael O Reilly, Benny Cleere and Liam Leydon hold the time sheets for one of the most popular Classics in the Kilkenny Golf Club’s busy calendar. The organisers hope this year to encourage new teams, maybe the parents of new players in the Club’s Juvenile section, be it Under 6 or Under 8 Camogie or Hurling teams, might want to put in a team. The Golf Classic is yet another way of getting involved in the social side of one of Kilkenny’s biggest GAA Clubs and also you help contribute financially while having a good days golfing. A team of 3 costs €150 which entitles the 3 players to a meal in Kilkenny Golf Club and a goody bag at registration.

The committee would also like to encourage past members, players and friends of the Club that maybe have moved away to come back and play in the Classic. In this the year of The Gathering members are encouraged to ask back past players etc. to join the Club in one of it’s main social fundraisers in the year

SPRINGSTEEN WEEKEND @ O’LOUGHLIN GAELS

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped out at St. John’s Park for the Bruce Springsteen weekend. Some people including, Club Chairman, Eddie Buckley and Coleman Loughnane must have moved into the Club for the weekend. But it was a major Club effort with too many people to name and at the risk of leaving someone out . Suffice to know that your effort was indeed recognised and that the Club benefited greatly from your work. Thank you.
