Pretty Wedding - On Saturday May 26 the marriage of Deirdre Glennon, Foyle, Tullaroan and Tom Butler, Corstown, Kilmanagh took place in glorious sunshine at the Church of The Assumption, Tullaroan. The chief celebrant Fr. P. Guilfoyle P.P. Tullaroan assisted by Fr. K. O’Shea, Ballycallan. Best Man Philly Butler, groomsman Tommy Hoyne, bridesmaid Elizabeth Guerin and Ruth Glennon, flower girls, Chloe Glennon, Caitlin Glennon, Molly Glennon and Sinead Butler, page boy Tommy Butler. The reception was held at the Springhill Court Hotel, Waterford Road, Kilkenny.
The happy couple honeymooned in Portugal. They will live at Ballycuddihy, Kilmanagh, Co. Kilkenny.
Deirdre is daughter of John and Margaret (Pinky) Glennon and Tom is son of Tom and Margaret Butler.

Tullaroan Active Retirement Association - Mass with anointing of the sick will be celebrated in the Church of The Assumption on Wednesday 6th June at 2pm. Anyone who feels unwell are welcome to attend. The group will meet in the Community Centre immediately afterwards.
Camogie - The Tullaroan camogie club are holding a cabaret in Connolly’s Lounge, Tullaroan on 15th. June commencing at 8pm. All support would be very much appreciated.
Cabaret and Monster Draw - Ballyragget Community Playground Committee are holding a cabaret in Ronan’s Lounge Ballyragget on Saturday the 9th of June at 9pm. A monster draw will take place on the night. Prizes include breakaways worth €500 and €250, tickets to the first Manchester Utd. game of the season 12/13 with €100 spending money and many more on the night. They are also hosting a fun day on the Green on June 24th from 12.30pm with lots of games and fun activities to take part in. There will be a barbecue where you can grab a bite to eat, fancy dress competition, pet show, hurling competitions, soccer competitions, face painting, music and much more. There will also be stalls selling a variety of items on the day including homemade produce, plants, bird feeders, flower boxes etc. All are welcome! Hurling - The Tullaroan junior hurling team had two good wins over Bennettsbridge and Slieverue in the All County Junior League held at the Tullaroan sports grounds on Friday evening and Sunday morning last.
Hurlers Co-op Draw - Tickets for the Hurlers Co-op Draw are now on sale, promoters are asked to make sure that all tickets are sold as the first raffle will be taking place in the near future.
Tullaroan Golf Society - The society held an outing at Tramore Golf Club on Saturday last where the course was in excellent condition. Winner on the day was Eddie Carter. Local publican’s John and Joan Connolly sponsored the longest drive and nearest the pin prizes.
Schools Hurling - The school team qualified for the semi-final of the 11 a side competition after defeating Windgap on a scoreline Tullaroan 6-05 Windgap 5-04. The semi-final will be played during the coming week.

The under 14 team had two good wins during the last week beating Kilmacow in Tullaroan on a scoreline Tullaroan 1-09 Kilmacow 1-04. They also beat Glenmore in Glenmore on Friday evening last, Tullaroan 4-14 Glenmore 2-04. They have also qualified for the league football final where they face O’Loughlin Gaels B in Palmerstown on Monday 4th June.
