The annual plant sale at Rothe House and Garden takes place this Saturday, June 9 from 10.30am until 4pm.
Mary Pyke, head gardener, has prepared a wide variety of stock for sale, including many plants which originated in the 17th century reconstructed garden.
“Entrance to the garden for the sale will be free of charge, and it may be accessed by Evans Lane from 10.30 onwards,” said Ms Pyke.
Both Ms Pyke and new assistant gardener Alan Murphy will be on hand with expert advice and tips for all.
Rothe House and Garden is looking particularly fine at this time of the year, with new growth throughout. The wildflower meadow is in full bloom, along with many of the herbs and shrubs.
Also, the six ducks have truly settled in now, following their first full year in the garden. Jemima, Mildred, Jenny, Gertrude, Rosie and Maisie are healthy and happy, and provide a continuous supply of eggs.
All are welcome to the plant sale at Rothe House and Garden this Saturday.
