Ballyragget: Impressive win for Naomh Brid camogie club

TIDY TOWNS COMPETITION 2012-The tidy town results will be revealed early next month and the presentation of flowers in the town forms an integral part of the competition, helping to gain marks. As the theft of flowers around the town continues (hence the tidy towns not acquiring these important marks) the installation of cameras is hoped to thwart any further theft of flowers. Meanwhile the tidy towns clean up continues in August starting from the Square every Wednesday at 8pm. Your support is much appreciated – every little helps. Thanks to the C.E.S. team for their work in ensuring Donoughmore Graveyard was clean and tidy for the annual cemetery mass.

NAOMH BRID CAMOGIE CLUB-The under 12 team had an impressive win over Emeralds in the county quarter final ,at Urlingford, on Saturday August 12th.The return of some players from holidays strengthened the team and they avenged an earlier loss, in the group stages of the competition. Naomh Brid led at half time by 2-1 to 0-1, thanks to goals from Katie Brennan after five minutes, Mary Kate Brennan after ten and Zara Gunner’s point, after fourteen minutes play.
