In olden days Malzards/O’Grady’s Bar was known as The Lamp Hotel so be on your guard , there may be some real ghosts floating around among those who regularly haunt the premises. Well done - Everyone in Foroige and in The Drum Centre would like to congratulate Laura Fennelly Glounta, and Clodagh Wallace Ennisnag, who graduated with a Foundation Cert in Youth Leadership and Community Action in NUI Galway. They have both served on the Club committee and as part of the project on the Course working with the local Development Association on the Community Hall and Park. Well done Girls!

Newly Retired People - ‘Ageing with Confidence Programme’ This progamme is for retired people and is specifically designed to offer older people support in living life to the full in a positive way. The course will be run over 10 Thursdays from 2pm. to 4.30pm and will begin on Thursday October 25. Care To Drive - This is a volunteer delivered transport initiative in which the Irish Cancer Society recruits & trains volunteer drivers to transport cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment to and from their hospital appointments. We are currently looking for volunteers to drive patients to and from Waterford Regional Hospital. The service is free to both the patient and the hospital with the Irish Cancer Society incurring all costs. Volunteers use their own cars and the Irish Cancer Society pays drivers for their fuel, all tolls and offer €8.00 per trip towards some food.
