The pins will be presented at the Annual Dinner Dance on the 23rd of November. The costs of the pins are €37 each or if you wish to purchase a 16ct Gold pin it will cost €165.

MULLINAVAT CAMOGIE CLUB - They will be holding a celebration night for the victorious u12 and u14 teams on Thursday November 1st in the Rising Sun at 7.30pm.and all are welcome to attend.

BADMINTON NOTES - Mullinavat Badminton Club are hosting a Table Quiz in Mooneys Bar on Friday 9th November at 9pm.. This venture is to raise much needed funds for the club. This season the club has affiliated to the Waterford Badminton Association and we have entered three teams in the ladies and men’s 4 person leagues. We welcome back some past juvenile players as well as some newcomers and it is good to see such large numbers in the hall on Mondays and Thursdays.

MULLINAVAT SET DANCERS - The Mullinavat Set Dancers get together in Paddy Ryan’s pub at 9pm on Wednesday nights. New members always welcome.

WATERFORD/ SOUTH KILKENNY HOSPICE - Carrick On Suir motor club are holding the Winter Rally Sprint at the Waterford Airport Business Park on Sunday 4th November. Proceeds for the event will go to Waterford Hospice so please give it your support. Tickets for one day spins are now on sale. For full information on the event see carrickonsuirmotorclub.com

SOUTH KILKENNY HISTORICAL SOCIETY - A lecture will be delivered on mountains and pilgrimages in Mullinavat parish Hall at the church on this Thursday 25th October at 8pm. Admission on the night is €5.

YOGA CLASSES - Yoga classes are in full swing on Tuesday’s. The morning session takes place at 11am while there is an evening session on at 8pm in the evening. Both sessions are held in Mullinavat Church Parish Hall on Tuesday.

MULLINAVAT COMMUNITY LOTTO - No winner of this week’s lotto. Four people matched 3 numbers and each got a small cash prize they were. Edward Mullaly Smartscastle, Ciaran Boyle Bigwood, Bridgid Frisby Red Acres, Peter Culleton Main Street. Numbers drawn were 4,16,19 & 25.

ST BEACONS PARENTS ASSOCATION - The committee of the parents association of St Beacon’s national school would like to thank all those who supported their recent cake sale in the Parish Church Hall. This raised much needed funds for the school and showing initiative they sold teas and cakes at the Intermediate game between Mooncoin and Tullogher Rosbercon in the hurling field. This brought in more money to the coffers.

DRUG AWARNESS NIGHT - A meeting on Drug Awareness will be held in the Parish Church Hall on the 16th of November at 7.30pm for all who are interested. The boys and girls that are making their confirmation in 2013 are also invited to attend.

SPECIAL MASS FOR DECEASED PARISHIONERS - On Monday night the 5th of November the Mullinavat Pastoral Council have organised a mass for all those parishioners who have died in the last year. On the night they will light a special candle to remember all those who have passed on to their eternal reward. There may be some people who had bereavement elsewhere and would like them remembered in Mullinavat or Bigwood on the night. If so they should give the names to Fr Barron to be included.

FESTIVE FILLIES - The ladies are back the festive fillies fundraisers are looking for your support once again. They have organised a cabaret and raffle which will be held in Mooney’s Bar Mullinavat on Saturday the 10th of November at 9pm. Music on the night will be provided by D.J.Bob. On the night there will also be a raffle for some wonderful prizes which includes a photograph of top racehorse Rip Van Winkle signed by his trainer Aiden O Brien. The ladies do fantastic work for not one but ten charities and over the last number of years have raised thousands of Euro’s.

Once again they are supporting the ten charities and are asking you to support them by your attendance. The charities are as follows Solas Centre, Aware, Cystic Fibrosis, The Jonah Project, Aislinn, Parkinsons, Waterford Hospice, Jack & Jill, South East Radiotherapy, Oasis House.
