Clara GAA News - Well done to both the Minor and U14 Football teams who won both their football matches at the weekend. This win for the Minors leaves them top of the table level on points with Mooncoin, who they play this Saturday in Clara at 2pm. Well done to Clara Senior Footballers who came close at the weekend but eventually losing to Kilmoganny in the League Semi-Final.

DVD’s for sale: There is a limited number of DVD’s of the three Intermediate Hurling Finals that Clara won this year, anybody interested in these can contact Trevor (085 1079791) for more details.

Upcoming training courses: The following course is coming up in the near future for all trainers: 23rd of March ABC (Agility, Balance, Coordination) Course will take place in the GAA Grounds. Anybody interested in this course please contact Eamonn (087 6383022) for more details.

Club Membership: Members of the executive committee will be around to collect remaining membership for 2013. All support very much appreciated and new members are always welcome.

CLARA CAIRDE CLUB - will travel to Sligo for their annual summer holiday this year, anybody wishing to travel with the group would be most welcome, you do not have to be from the parish or be a member of the club to join us, further details from Eileen Ryan at 056-7722789.

The Comunity Employment Scheme has contributed enormously to development work in the parish over the past 23 years and continues to do so with all areas of the Parish looking splendid as Spring arrives.

Services for the elderly is a major part of the work, providing transport, day centre, meals and other activities, if you would like to join our Club, we would welcome your call to Eileen Ryan at 056 7722789 or just come along any Tuesay or Thursday between the hours of 11.30am - 4.30pm.

A vacancy currently exists on our community employment scheme for a person interested in a job as a home support worker, visiting elderly persons in their own homes, carrying out odd jobs i.e. cutting grass, general gardening, bringing in coal/sticks etc, if you are interested in this work please contact Eileen Ryan at 056 7722789.

Volunteers are always welcome to join in the valuable work currently being carried out in the Parish, contact any member of the Development Committee if you are willing to give the benefit of your time, talents/ experiences it would be greatly appreciated.
