Freshford: Is being single better for your soccer

NGLES COME OUT WINNERS - On St.Stephens Day the Annual Married v Singles fun game was held. Despite being very cold and wet the game went ahead. Despite the fact that the Singles had youth and speed on their side the Married curtailed them well with the Singles coming out winners on a 4-3 scoreline after some tough challenges and tackles during a hard fought game. The Club had a night in Farrell’s afterwards with finger food and disco Kilkenny and District League had no fixtures over the Christmas period this year. This applied to Junior and schoolboys sections. The Saturday morning training sessions for the tots also finished last week until after the Christmas holidays. Well done to the three local boys who took part in the U12 County Inter league in Kildare recently - they were Cathal O’Leary, Elijah Garrett, and Josh McCarthy . Meanwhile you can follow the clubs progress on Facebook.
