Kilmacow - GAA information meeting

Kilmacow GAA - The Kilmacow GAA club will host an information meeting at 8.00pm on Tuesday, 19th March in the Barrow Room, Kilmacow Community Centre on its new child welfare code. Conor Brennan, from the County Board will present the new code in child welfare in sport entitled ‘Our Games – Our Code – A Code of Best Practice for Working with Young People in Sport’. The meeting will be open to parents and most importantly to coaches of the club teams.

The next table quiz in the Fox’s Den on Monday, 8th April will be in aid of the juvenile section of Kilmacow Hurling & Football Club.

Kilmacow Soccer Club - UNDER 13 Park Rangers 3 Kilmacow 4

This was a welcome win for this side who have found points hard to come by lately. Short a number of players this was a very good performance by the boys who were there. They led 5-0 at half time and held out for the win despite a good fight back from the home side in the second half. Dean Scully led the way with a super hat trick. Niall Bowe scored two, with Pa Dollard also on the mark.

This was a fine victory for the lads and keeps them in the top half of the table. After coming so close to league leaders Johnville last time out this was a welcome three points. They led 2-0 at half time with goals from defenders Alex Grant and Oisín O’Dwyer. Chief striker Alan Murphy got the third in the second half

Badminton Racquets - St Patrick National School, Strangsmills is looking for badminton racquets. The school would welcome donations of rackets which people no longer use. Contact the school at 874474 to arrange to have the racket collected or if more convenient it can be dropped into the school.

South Ossory PTAA - South Ossory PTAA will host a vigil in Owning House at 8.00pm on Friday, 22nd March. All are welcome to attend.

Blood Donation Clinic - The Blood Donation Clinic will be open from 12 noon to 3.30pm on Sunday, 24th March in the Woodlands Hotel, Waterford.

Kilmacow Lotto - The winning numbers in last week’s lotto were 1, 20, 25 and 27. There were two Match 3 winners. The Jackpot for next Thursday night is €12,600.
