RANGERS EXIT

Barrow Rangers and Bennettsbridge faced each other in the semi-final of the Junior Championship last Saturday in Nowlan Park. After a shaky start which saw them go two points behind Rangers slowly gained control of the game and some fine scores saw them take a half time lead of 1-07 to 6 points but in reality it should have been more. At the restart they extended their lead to five points but seemed to lose their way in the second half and Bennettsbridge took full advantage firing over scores to first level the game and then to go ahead. At one stage Bennettsbridge were five points ahead but Rangers managed to reduce the gap to three points. The full time score read Barrow Rangers 2-12, Bennettsbridge 1-18.
