Dicksboro under 14 Roinn ‘C’ team put in an excellent display of hurling in the league shield final last Friday against James Stephens, but despite their best efforts, the Village still proved too strong for them, winning by 4-6 to 3-3. Each of the boys should be proud of their efforts. Some shaky video of two of the ‘Boro’s goals and some of our points can be seen on by clicking on the latest news. Panel: Joseph Lacey, Daire Maher, Padraic Moylan, TJ Stynes, Tommy Farrell, Jack Tynan, William O’Sullivan, Liam Hennessy, Mark Kenny, Darran Mullan, Evan Clarke, Eoin de Buitlear, Nicky Burke, Tadhg Butler, Liam Griffin, Stephen Cass.

The ‘Boro Roinn ‘A’ minor team got the job done in their championship quarter final match against Ballyhale Shamrocks on Saturday, beating our opponents by 1-17 to 1-14. This was a strange match in which we were on top for periods but then seemed to go out of it, allowing Ballyhale to come back into the game on more than one occasion. A more consistent game will be required on this Saturday when we play the semi-final against the Rower-Inistioge.
