The Tullaroan intermediate team had a good win over St. Anne’s on a scoreline of Tullaroan 2-11 to St. Anne’s 1-07 in the quarter final of the championship held in the Tullaroan sports grounds on Saturday last.

The now play Ballyhale in the Semi Final of the championship with date and time to be confirmed.

Whist Drive

On Wednesday 9th October at 8.45pm a whist drive will be held in the Tullaroan Community Centre. Friday last was the final of the Summer whist’s and the Committee would like to thanks to all for their support and look forward to your continued support.

300 members draw

Thanks to all who bought tickets for the draw. There are a small number of tickets left so contact any member of the hurling, camogie or soccer club to purchase a ticket. First draw takes place on Saturday at 9th October in Connolly’s Lounge.


Bishop Freeman will administer the Sacrament of Confirmation to 4th, 5th, and 6th Classes from Scoil Ruadháin on February 16th 2014. Due to the small numbers Confirmation will be administered every three years in this Parish in future.

U16 Shield Hurling Final

The Tullaroan under 16 hurling team went under to Thomastown in the league shield final held at Bennettsbridge on Sunday last. This was a very well contested game with the final score Thomastown 2-09 to Tullaroan 0-12. Team Dylan Simpson, Niall Buggy, Sean Cuddihy, Kevin Maher, Adam Tallis, Tommy Walsh, Shane Joyce, Martin Keoghan, Sean Buggy, John Walton, J.Teehan, Sam Grace, Joey Walsh, John Dooley, Bill Gaffney.

Zambian Immersion Project

Callan Christian Brothers School are having a clothing collection in aid of Zambian Immersion Project. Eleven students and three teachers will travel to Zambia. All donations of clothing, books, bed linen and shoes gratefully appreciated.

Tullaroan Active Retirement Group

An extraordinary meeting of the group will take place in the Community Centre on Wednesday 30th October commencing at 2pm. A discussion will take place on the future of the Association in Tullaroan and all members are asked to attend.

Timber Auction

Tullaroan development association are now looking for timber for the Auction which will take place later in the year. If you have any trees to donate please phone 0868134026.

Community Alert

A meeting of Tullaroan Community Alert will be held in the Community Centre on Thursday 10th October commencing at 8pm. It is hoped that as many as possible would attend.

Sacred Classics

As part of the 2013 St. Canice’s Pastoral Day celebrations Regina Nathan will perform Sacred Classics and Operatic Arias in St. Canice’s Cathedral Kilkenny on Saturday 12th October at 8pm. Tickets costing €27.50 are available from St. Canice’s Cathedral.


Declan Connolly has been ratified as manager of the Tullaroan senior hurling team for the coming year.
