Kilkenny College retains sailing title

The South-East Inter-School Sailing competition was held in Dunmore East, County Waterford and Kilkenny College was one of five schools that had entered nine teams, representing schools from Dungarvan, Newbridge, Kilkenny and two further schools from Waterford.

The Kilkenny College A Team was first overall, the team consisting of Georgina Corbett, Dougie Power and Andrew Levie bringing home the Walsh Cup to Kilkenny for the second year running. Georgina Corbett (5th year) was the overall individual winner.

The other Kilkenny College teams of Douglas Elms, Scott Levie and Geoff O’Connor came fourth, while the team of Heather O’Connor, Julie Power and Sean Landers came sixth. Overall it was a very productive day for the Kilkenny College sailors.
