Dance classes - Social dance classes will resume in St Kierans Hall , Johnstown on Wednesday nights starting Oct 3rd at 8pm. If you would like to dance the...old time waltz, quick step, foxtrot, jive etc come along on Wed night. You dont need a partner, just come yourself and bring some friends. A great nights fun while you learn to dance.

Self help Africa Appeal - The recent church gate collection amounted to €380. Sincere help to all who contributed.

Mrs Bridget Drennan - We offer sincere sympathy to the family of the late Bridget Drennan, Glashare who died unexpectedly at St Lukes Hospital last week. Widow of the late Kieran who pre deceased her by just 2 years. Bridget was a member of the Cleere Family, Garrylawn and has lived in Glashare since her marriage. A popular outgoing lady who loved sport particularly hurling but also had a great interest in greyhounds both breeding and racing. Her death has come as an immense loss and sorrow to her daughters Hannah and Anne, son Tommy, grandchildren, son in law, daughter in law, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and extended family.Bridget was laid to rest in Galmoy Cemetery after Requiem Mass in Galmoy Church last Wednesday. May she rest in peace.
