CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTS - Wednesday (tonight) at 7.30pm the lights will be turned on, on the Christmas tree on the Square and everyone is invited to the event. The Cub Scouts have made some beautiful decorations to hang on the tree this year and as usual the fantastic hardworking crew have pulled it out of the bag this year again. Our Square looks festive and colourful and is a credit to the community. On the night the Cub Scouts will sing some Christmas Carols so please come along and join in the fun.
PADDY CLANCY R.I.P. - It was with much regret and sorrow that the parish learned recently of the death of Paddy Clancy late of Rosconnell, Attanagh . Paddy was well known and respected in the area and he had many friends and acquaintances in the community – he was a very generous and giving gentleman and will be sadly missed by his wife Mary – May he rest in peace
CREDIT UNION NEWS - Ballyragget and District Credit Union is celebrating its 40th anniversary and there will be a celebration of Mass on Sunday 16th December at 10am and everyone is invited. At this year’s A.G.M. on Thursday 13th December there will be an extra raffle on the night for members of the Credit Union with up to €500 in prizes.

VINCENT de PAUL - The local conference of the St. Vincent de Paul wishes to stress that anyone who findsthemselves in difficult times to contact them in confidence on 087 9349729 where you will find a listening ear and a helpful hand. GAA - The Under 21 was in action in the Roinn A Northern Semi final against Lisdowney in Freshford. However the team suffered their first defeat in 14 months having won out the competition last year. We hope all the players enjoy a well earned break and look forward to next year’s campaign
BROOKVILLE TEAM NEWS - Brookville went down again at the weekend to a well organized Newpark side. Brookville tried hard but fell short against a better team. Alan Ruth scored the home side’s goal.
SPIN THE WHEEL RESULTS - The winner of the in house draw was John Mc Grath €60, Jackpot Winner was Kate O’ Hara €100 and the sellers prize was won by Carroll’s Garage €25. Next week’s jackpot is €2550 and is in the Wheel Inn. Be in to win.
